Sobre reglas snort

Hola, comunidad.
El snort.config me está dando este error:

ERROR: c:\snort\etc\snort.conf(328) => Invalid keyword '}' for server configuration.
#Fatal Error, Quitting..
#Could not create the registry key.

Pero no encuentro dónde está la { o la que sobra. No sé cómo insertar el texto del snort.config aquí para mostrárselo y que me digan si hay otro error.
Intento usar Snort desde windows 10.
¿Alguien tiene unas reglas que le funcionen bien y que me sirvan?

¿Y ya has mirado bien la línea de 328 del fichero c:\snort\etc\snort.conf?

Para insertar texto, simplemente, copia y pega el contenido del fichero snort.conf en el foro.

Yo sólo he usado Suricata, pero en GNU/Linux y con las reglas básicas:

Es que no encuentro cuál es la línea 328. La he buscado, pero no he encontrado el problema ni he estado seguro de que es la línea correcta. No he usado suricata y todavía no he instalado kali

Abre el fichero snort.conf con un editor como NotePad++ que te muestra por defecto las líneas o bien incluso con el WordPad o el Bloc de Notas puedes decirle Ir a la línea 328 y te llevará, no hace falta que las vayas contando.

No es necesario instalar Kali para usar Snort, ni Suricata.

Lo he hecho en word, pero esa línea queda dentro de una instrucción que nada tiene que ver. Estoy revisando a mano dónde está cada }, para ver si encuentro el que falta o sobra, pero ya eso lo había hecho en dos ocasiones anteriores. Voy a hacerlo con el notepad++, porque con el word, cada vez que hay una nueva línea, pone un número de línea, aunque haya una línea en blanco

Por lo que dicen en mailinglists, ese error se puede deber en realidad en la línea 327 donde se carga el lzma para los swf, que por lo visto si snort no fue compilado con soporte lzma fallá y luego no parsea el resto bien.

Entonces prueba a quitar lzma de la linea 327... pasando de esto:

Lo he hecho en word, pero esa línea queda dentro de una instrucción que nada tiene que ver. Estoy revisando a mano dónde está cada }, para ver si encuentro el que falta o sobra, pero ya eso lo había hecho en dos ocasiones anteriores. Voy a hacerlo con el notepad++, porque con el word, cada vez que hay una nueva línea, pone un número de línea, aunque haya una línea en blanco

Consejo: Nunca, nunca, nunca edites archivos de configuración en Word. Jamás. Te cargas el formato, metes CRLF en vez de LF, puedes cargarte hasta el encoding... siempre utiliza un editor de código, Notepad++, Sublime Text, Visual Studio Code etc...

Si ya has editado y guardado el archivo con Word, bórralo, descargarlo de nuevo y edítalo con un editor de código de los que te hemos mencionado. Las lineas las estabas contando mal y eso puede ser precisamente por el CRLF en vez de LF.

Voy a hacer lo que me indica. De paso, es muy buena la recomendación de no editar en word, aunque lo sabía, porque lo había leído en otras publicaciones, pero lo usé para el asunto de a numeración de cada línea, aunque tampoco sirvió para eso.
Ahora me pongo a realizar su recomendación sobre el cambio en la línea 327 y lo comento.
