Lo que hice fue suspender la línea 512 y 513:
 #whitelist $WHITE_LIST_PATH\white.list
  #blacklist $BLACK_LIST_PATH\black.list

Lo volví a correr poniendo C:\Snort\bin>snort -c c:\snort\etc\snort.conf -T -i 4
y ahora me da error en la línea 25

Pero para mí, la línea 25 es esto:

Hola Agustín, podes usar Notepad++ para abrir, leer y modificar archivos, ademas que ese editor de códigos tiene los números de líneas a la izquierda, sin embargo tiene una opción y hasta un atajo para poder abrir una ventana en donde insertas el número de linea y el programa te lleva a esa linea indicada, creo que el atajo es Ctrl+G.

A mí me da que estás intentando usar Snort sin bajar antes ninguna regla y así no arrancará nunca.

¿Estás siguiendo algún manual o tutorial?

Creo que en tu caso deberías seguir un manual paso a paso, para no perderte.

¿Para que quieres instalar un IDS/IPS? ¿Para mejorar la seguridad de una red, detectar intrusos? ¿Cuáles la finalidad o le objetivo?

Si es el caso sería mejor usar PfSense, Zeek, Security Onio o una solución que incluyera ya reglas predefinidas.
