ola amigos.. tengo un pequeño problema cuando intento instalar madwifi....

es que los drivers de ath5k no van con el aircrack y no pillo ningun paquete...  y me gustaria probar madwifi...


baje los drivers de madwifi-hal.. y los instalé con el sudo make y eso...  puse los de ath5k en la blacklist, /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf  y ademas quité los de madwifi de la otra blacklist /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-ath_pci.conf... pero no funciona...  se siguen cargando como modulo de kernel..


lo que quiero hacer es quitar los de ath5k e instalar los de madwifi.. ya intenté con modprobe -r ath5k  pero nada..

quiero quitar los de ath5k y poner los de madwifi...

->Comprueba la salida del dmesg si aparece algo relacionado con el ath5k o ath_pci
->Dame la salida del lsmod
->¿Cómo has colocado el ath5k en el blacklist.conf?

hay 2 blacklist..  blacklist-ath_pci.conf y blacklist.conf


pongo "blacklist ath5k" en la blacklist.conf

y en la otra blacklist...  le quito un # a la linea "blacklist ath5k" y a "blacklist ath_pci"


reinicio y no tengo conexion wireless...

hay 2 blacklist.. blacklist-ath_pci.conf y blacklist.conf

pongo "blacklist ath5k" en la blacklist.conf

y en la otra blacklist... le quito un # a la linea "blacklist ath5k" y a "blacklist ath_pci"

reinicio y no tengo conexion wireless...

Esto... o no lo entiendo o no te expresas bien...

Si en blacklist.conf añades blacklist ath5k entonces bloqueas la carga del módulo ath5k, pero... si en blacklist-ath_pci.conf eliminas el caracter # a blacklist ath5k y a blacklist ath_pci entonces estás bloqueando la carga del módulo ath5k y del ath_pci... es decir, ni uno ni el otro y por tanto es normal que no tengas Internet...

A ver... da igual que fichero blacklist uses ya que modprobe leerá todos los ficheros que acaben en ".conf" del directorio /etc/modprobe.d por tanto lo que creo que deberías hacer es eliminar el fichero blacklist-ath_pci.conf (que es el que bloquea la carga de madwifi) y sólo en el fichero blacklist.conf añades:

Y a ver si funciona...

Por cierto, dos cosas:
-> ¿de donde descargaste el madwifi? ya que en los repos no lo vi...
-> No sé en la 10.04 pero creo que en versiones anteriores se recomendaba utilizar el Gestor de Hardware para instalar el controlador Madwifi.

ok, eliminaré el fichero blacklist-ath_pci.. entendiste bien..


descargue madwifi de su web principal.. http://snapshots.madwifi-project.org/madwifi-hal-0.10.5.6/


probaré con jockey.. que es el gestor de controladores privativos

ya lo solucione..

cuando tienes ath5k solo hay que instalar madwifi hal del link que di arriba...  con sudo make y sudo make install ya esta...

ahora solo hay que ir a /etc/modprobe.d    y luego borrar el fichero blacklist-ath_pci.conf

y meter en blacklist.conf al final, la linea blacklist ath5k...

reiniciar y tendrás la interfaz ath0..

para poner en modo monitor.. tienes que hacer sudo airmon-ng start wifi0

yo tambn tuve ese problema.. la tarjeta de red se cambia sola de canal... con aircrack y no se como fijarle el canal

Si hablas de inyectar debo suponer que estas utilizando la suite aircrack-ng, no?

Pues si es así, para fijar un canal debería bastar con indicarlo con el airodump-ng, es decir:

lo probaré..

lo que pasa es que cuando capturas... sucede que aparece un cartel que dice... "fixed channel ath0: 3"  y va cambando el canal...
