nunca he sido muy aficionado a linux pero esta aplicacion como que me ha picado un poco y queria instalarla, fuerte coñazo por cierto pues despues de media hora sigo con el mismo error xD. cosas de novatos supongo el caso es que introducir el ./configure --enable-plugins --enable-debug o cualquier variante me da un fantastico configure: error: not found , y esta empezando a romperme los nervios. es un error conocido pues encuentro miles de post con el problema pero la solucion no aparece, prove instalando unos repositorios para compilar en ubuntu pero nada, el .tar del ettercap me lo descargue de souerceforge y el archivo descomprimido se llama ettercap-NG-0.7.3

Copia el error exacto que te aparece, o copia exactamente todo el último trozo de error.
Con un "configure: error: not found" no te podemos ayudar, casi seguro que falta alguna librería o aparece el error justo después de un checkeo de algo que falla.
Hacer un configure, make, make install no tiene mucho misterio, siempre y cuando los paths (rutas) sean correctos y tengas todas los requerimientos (librerías, versiones correctas, etc).

busque en synaptic y con ese nombre concreto no habia ninguna, las habia parecidas , instale lo que me aparecio, vuelvo al ./configure y me da el mismo error.

Lo hacen por defecto. EDIT: A lo mejor no, puedo estar equivocado, pero creo que gzopen viene proporcionado por zlib. ¿Que distro usas?

si usas un gestor de paquetes tipo yum, apt pues las dependencias se resuelven y se instalan solas, si lo compilas a mano con configure, make, make install debes tu instalar los paquetes que te faltan.

miara para que ettercap se instale de manera correcta debes uasr las siguientes liberrias Empecemos por desintalar ettercap ( para los que lo tengan instalado por medio de los repositorios) sudo apt-get remove --purge ettercap-common ettercap instalemos las librerias necesarias (ojo muy necesarias, si no no compilara bien) #sudo apt-get install libpcre3-dev libpcap0.8-dev libnet1-dev libssl-dev ncurses-bin libncurses5-dev #sudo apt-get install libnet6-1.3-dev #sudo apt-get install libpthread-stubs0-dev #sudo apt-get install zlib1g-dev sudo apt-get install libltdl-dev sudo apt-get install libpcre3-dev sudo apt-get install pango-graphite openssl Para la interfaz grafica pkgconfig - Glib >= 2.4.x - Gtk+ >= 2.4.x - Atk >= 1.6.x - Pango >= 1.4.x lo instalamos con: sudo apt-get install pkg-config sudo apt-get install libgtk2.0-dev libpango1.0-dev libatk1.0-dev ahora si tienes errores con la compilacion te recomiendo que te pases por este blog, yo lo hice y explico paso paso como instalarlo, a su vez corrijo 1 problema que da ettercapen sistemas de 64 bits, y por ahi otras cosillas... saludos y suerte
