Primer paso - Abre tu directorio del WoW



Segundo paso - Abre la carpeta Data



Tercer paso - Borra el archivo Patch.mpq



Cuarto paso - Vuelve al directorio principal de tu carpeta World of Warcraft



Quinto paso - Abrir el Repair.exe



Sexto paso - Presionar la primera opción



Séptimo paso - Ir a...(y descarga el parche que necesites)

Parches 3.x.x - http://www.wow-patch.in/content/3.x.x.php
Parches 4.x.x - http://www.wow-patch.in/content/4.x.x.php

Octavo paso - Instala manualmente los parches que necesites

Noveno paso - Ve a tu carpeta del WoW y abre el archivo realmlist.wtf (por defecto C:\Archivos de programa\World of Warcraft\Data\esES\realmlist.wtf) y editarlo según el servidor al que quieras jugar.

Décimo y último paso - Guarda el archivo.

Buenas, me presento en este foro, me presento y os presento esta guía o tutorial para poder poner un servidor del World of Warcraft online  :D

Estos son los pasos:


Abriendo los puertos:

El procedimiento para abrir los puertos es diferente en cada router. El mejor sitio para ir es http://portforward.com. Solo busca tu router y sigue una sencilla guía (no del wow) para abrir los puertos.

Una vez abiertos compruébalo usando http://www.canyouseeme.org/ (a mi sinceramente no me funcionó el sitio, pero a muchos otros si).

Consiguiendo un DNS

El DNS será tu realmlist, por ejemplo Blackrock-Gaming usa 'realm.blackrock-gaming.com' por supuesto, necesitarías un dominio para eso; pero hay sitios gratis para hacer eso, como http://www.dyndns.com/.



Tu dirección ip (ip adress) la puedes ver aquí http://www.whatismyip.com/. Estate seguro de que está puesto 'Host with IP address' y no otra cosa.

Cambiando el archivo hosts

Este paso es importante, porque tu eres el que hostea el servidor, el ordenador debería estar esperando conexiones de una ip. Por defecto, el ordenador solo espera conexiones de '127.0.0.1', que es tu servidor local. Ve a 'C:/Windows/System32/Drivers/etc/' y abre el archivo 'hosts' con notepad y edítalo así:

Una vez hecho guarda y ya.

Cambiando el realmlist

Este paso es olvidado por muchos  y es "el paso mas importante" para hacer tu Trinity público. Abre tu database con HeidiSQL, ve hasta tu 'auth' database y abre la tabla 'realmlist'. Ahí, cambia la dirección de '127.0.0.1' a 'tudirecciónipexterna'.
Cierra la tabla, y ya!  ;)

Extra

Si hiciste todo correctamente tu servidor debería ser público. Si no, puede ser que tu antivirus o firewall esté bloqueando las conexiones, si es eso, desactívalos.

Los jugadores podrán entrar a tu server bien poniendo tu dirección ip externa o tu dns en su realmlist. 'Proteger' tu ip es inútil, porque cualquiera con cerebro puede sacar tu ip. Un hacker tampoco puede hacer nada solamente con tu ip, así que no seas paranoico.
