Vi a alguien que daño la PC revirtiendo los cables de positivo y negativo de un cable usb jajajajaj ADIOS BOARD!
normalmente los puertos directamente tienen protección contra eso... así que me imagino es que lo que hará este es acumular una carga y devolverla de golpe ...

The basic idea of the USB drive is quite simple. When we connect it up to the USB port, an inverting DC/DC converter runs and charges capacitors to -110V. lo que hace es generar una "carga" de -110v y tirarla... ahí si olvídate de la MotherBoard y puede hasta arruinar una fuente de poder que no sea de calidad...
