Hola, tengo un Lenovo G-500 con un SSD 250Gb con Windows 8 y Debian testing en partición dual (siempre trabajo en debian) y un HDD Hitachi de 500Gb particionado a 250Gb para cada sistema. este fin de semana mi portátil empezó a emitir un ruido similar a un grillo y me dio problemas de arranque del sistema. No he tenido mucho tiempo de testear el disco HDD. El disco tiene un año y me cubre la garantía pero después de analizarlo el servicio técnico de ellos. ¿Este error puede derivar en ruido mecánico o el fallo mecánico ocasiona este error? ¿Me lo cubrirá la garantía? Un saludo.

Hola,
Estos errores no causan riudos mecanicos en el disco, en todo caso al revés, cuando hay ruidos mecanicos en el disco pueden producirse fallos de lectura y escritura, pantallas azules, etc.
Lo mejor que puedes hacer es sacar el disco duro mecánico y ponerlo en una caja externa en otro ordenador, a ver si te lo reconoce y puedes ver los datos. Si los puedes ver, haz un respaldo de tus datos. Debes averiguar si ese disco sigue haciendo el mismo ruido en una caja externa y el estado del mismo disco. Lo mejor que puedes probar es un programa llamado Hard Disk Sentinel que te dirá si hay problemas en la unidad.
Recuerda, las garantías son en base a fallos de fabricación de origen. Por lo tanto, si aún no tiene los dos años, lo mejor es que contactes con el servicio técnico. Si ese disco venía en ese ordenador de fábrica, hay que ponerse en contacto con Lenovo. Si ese disco lo compraste por tu cuenta suelto, hay que ponerse en contacto con Hitachi.

Hola,
gracias por la respuesta.
Realicé con smartmontools un análisis completo del disco duro y no apareció ningún error. Pero días después, he visto que el log de errores marca un error de CRC. Por lo que he leído es un error que puede venir de un fallo de comunicaciones.

La verdad es que el HDD lo instalé en un soporte adaptado para ponerse en el lugar del lector DVD del portátil, que ahora no tiene dicho lector claro. Y en el lugar del HDD original tengo el SSD.
Entiendo que no hay error físico sino de lectura.
¿Podría ser de este adaptador el error de lectura o del PCB del HDD?
