Hola amigos tengo el siguiente problema...
tengo una notebook hp dv4-1212la con ubuntu 10.10 y lo tengo instalado hace mas de 1 año...ahora el problema que tengo es que cuando intento instalar programas desde la terminal esta me tira errores como que no encuentra paquetes o E: Algunos archivos de índice no se han podido descargar, se han ignorado,
o se ha utilizado unos antiguos en su lugar.

nose como resolver este problema, para salir de la duda instale una maquina virtual con ubuntu 10.10 y trate de instalar el programa que queria y se instalo sin ningun problema...con lo que me llegue a la conclusion de que es algun problema con mi ubuntu..
si alguien sabe o le ha pasado este error le agradezco compartir la solucion..y sino ni modo a reinstalar ubuntu :(

Actualiza tu Ubuntu al 11.10. Cuando te diga que hubieron errores al descargar los paquetes repite la orden (el "sudo apt-get install programa) pero añadiendole --fix-missing al final. Recuerda que tienes que actualizar los repositorios cada cierto tiempo con Saludos

Hola mmm al escribir ese comando sigue dando error :(

he estado investigando en google pero no aparee nada claro sobre este error
en este caso probé en la pc de escritorio y también tiene este error la notebook y la pc de escritorio están con ubuntu 10.10
la verdad me tiene desconcertado...seguiré buscando alguna solución

Probaste , como dijo armizh , a hacer un antes de instalar? De todas formas fíjate en la salida del error al instalar, dice que el paquete binary-i386 no funciona, pero de todas formas esos paquetes a ti no te sirven de mucho ya que tienes una arquitectura de i686. Aún así no debería dar error, te lo debería dar al instalar y configurar el paquete.

Hola ok voy a intentar instalar el programa de nuevo pero antes voy a hacer sudo apt-get update y ver que pasa...
el programa que quiero instalar es el Mixxx ya lo instale en un ubuntu recien instalado y funcionan bien los paquetes...
ahora probare en el ubuntu de la notebook aver que pasa..y vuelvo para comentar como me fue..

hola muchachos...sigo teniendo el mismo error creo que voy a reinstalar ubuntu :( ya que el error me pasa con cualquier programa que quiero instalar por terminal

No se si me estoy equivocando, pero prueba a poner todos los repositorios apuntando a un servidor, los repositorios del sistema, de actualizaciones y de seguridad. Ya te digo que no se si esto soluciona algo, pero me suena que podría dar error. Podrías poner la salida que te muestra de "sudo apt-get udpate"?

saludos y gracias por interesarte en el tema De nada, a mi me interesa este asunto ya que esto le interesa a cualquiera que use distribuciones debian. Pienso que en el error del update esta la respuesta. Dices que instalando otros programas también te da ese fallo. Podrías decir que programas? Creo que tienes enlaces en los repositorios rotos. Tenés 800 PPAs, reinstalá ... por que actualizar un sistema con tantos PPAs y encima rotos, no te puedo explicar el horror que es :S
Y aunque no estén rotos, actualizar un sistema con tantos PPAs (repositorios de terceros) es medio peligroso por las incompatibilidades que hay a nivel binario (salvo que estén versionados, cosa que LO DUDO)

jejejej es gratificante cuando por medios propios logras reparar algo..
después de navegar un largo rato y no encontrar nada claro, me puse a jugar un rato largo con ubuntu y con el gestor de actualizaciones..
en la parte inferior de esa ventana hay un botón que dice Configuración, y el siguiente cuadro de dialogo esta separado en pestañas, ahi seleccione la pestaña "Otro software" y comenze a chequear las direcciones de los repositorios hasta que encontré que los repositorios de Google Chrome daban error 404, otro programa que intente instalar quedaron los repositorios pero sin versiones para maverick :( asi que los deshabilite,

Luego recargamos todo, y en la pestaña de actualizaciones "actualizaciones de ubuntu" y marque las casillas
# Actualizaciones importantes de seguridad
# Actualizaciones recomendadas
# Actualizaciones no soportadas
se recarga de nuevo y deben de aparecer mas actualizaciones para instalar..
luego de eso reinicie la pc...y luego intente instalar nuevamente el programa que me daba errores y Bingo! se instalo sin ningún problema (el programa era Mixxx) ...

Sin la ayuda de ustedes creo que no habría podido solucionarlo, ya que con sus pistas de chequear los repositorios pude solucionarlo

Si podés borrar los programas que pertecen a esos PPAs en la medida de lo posible, sería genial ... por que sino tenés estancado el sistema en la versión que estás usando por el tema de incompatibilidad binaria (si los PPAs no reemplazan componentes críticos como xorg-edgers por ejemplo, podés dejarlos)

hola....siii estoy un poco atrasado con ubuntu en su versión, lo que pasa es que me gusta compiz, no se si en oneric o nathy se puede usar compiz y sacar la barra de de unity y usar docky , tengo entendido que si se puede pero no se si afecta el rendimiento de ubuntu o si es muy complicado...tendría que buscar info para hacer esa migración de sistema jejej
lo voy a hacer en una maquina virtual antes de meter mano en la pc que suo para el trabajo..

También tener repositorios que dan errores en general no es muy recomendable. Borra los que veas que te dan error al updatear y te ahorraras dolores de cabeza extras.

hola moikano→@...naaaa sin su ayuda no habría podido solucionarlo, llevo con linux hace un año mas o menos y debo decir que casi ni prendo la pc con windows, solo cuando tengo que hacer algo en after effects pero me la paso todo con linux...
lo lindo es que no tengo una pc poderosa, pero con linux parece serlo jejeje se nota muchísimo como windows se va poniendo lento con el tiempo todo lo contrario en linux...
