Buenas mi pregunta es sencilla ,quisiera saber como se puede modificar el regedit usando visual basic,la idea principal que tengo es crear un programa que me permite agregar claves y valores al registro,ejemplo :silbar:

me cambia la pagina de inicio por la de gogle modificandome su valor correspondiente,lo que yo deseo es el codigo o un ejemplo donde el codigo me permita crear una clave (con clave me refiero a la pequeña carpetita que aparece en la parte derecha del regedit ejemplo HKEY_CURRENT_USER) y otro codigo que me permita crear un nuevo campo o valor (ejemplo WaitToKillTimeOut),ya que como podran ver el unico codigo que tengo es el de modificar un valor de registro
espero que me puedan ayudar ya que lamentablemente no consegui algun ejemplo gogleando toda la noche :(

Buenas. 1) Es modificar el registro de win, ... regedit es solo una herramienta como el notepad :rolleyes: 2) No se pueden crear más "carpetas" además de las que ya están, vease: - HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
- HKEY_USERS
- HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG
3) El código que tienes sirve para modificar o crear claves :D, aunque mejor que utilizar este método es utilizar APIS, RegCreateKey, RegQueryValueEx, etc :P Saludos

gracias por tu respuesta ,a lo que yo me refiero exactamente es como crear una carpeta no exactamente una como HKEY_CURRENT_USER si no por ejemplo una carpetita llamada policies2 dentro de la carpeta internet explorer del regedit ;)
ahora me aconsejas que lo haga con los metodo que me explicas(RegCreateKey, RegQueryValueEx, etc),me podrias dar un ejemplo si no es mucha molestia por favor ?? te lo agradeceria enormememente salu2 ;-)

oie una pregunta me puedes pasar la funcion tal cual de crear un valor al registro, pero sin que tenga que ver ni usar la funcion de CreateKey por que no quiero crear una clave. :o si no encambio quiero introcudir un valor a una ya existente
