Hola que tal, hace unos días compre una placa asus a7n8x-vm/400 VE1480 con un micro amd2600+ sempron, SDA2600DUT3D (todo por partes para poder armar mi primer pc) Tengo win98se instalado, todo perfecto pero win98 me reconoce el micro como 2200+, pregunte dónde lo compre y me dijeron que la placa no tiene el bios actualizado y ese puede ser el problema, también instale el programa CPUidle y me reconoce el micro como AMD ATHLON(tm)MP 2200+ a una velocidad de 1830mhz ¿qué puede ser?¿por qué me reconosen2200+? ¿Actualizo al bios de la placa? ¿Me abran vendido un 2200+?

no he visto nada de que esa placa soporte los sempron (aunque quizas no esta actualizado y los soporta que no lo se seguro) hay un par de cosas raras, mira te cuento  El amd2600+ Sempron tiene estas características: NÚMERO DE PARTE SDA2600DUT3D PROCESADOR AMD SEMPRON VELOCIDAD DE PROCESO (GHZ) 1.833 (2600+) CACHE L2 (KB) 256 BUS (MHZ) 333 SOCKET 462 osea que la velocidad de proceso esta más o menos por donde te sale, solo falta que me digas (con el cpu-z por ejemplo), el fsb que te sale ya que la de este micro es de 333 y la del que te detecta es de 266. Podría ser que el cpu-z no te detectara la versión de ese micro (no lo se), pero si te detecta ese micro con el bus 266 quizas te han dado "gato por liebre", o podría ser que la placa base no fuera compatible con ese micro (aunque no se si te estaría pasando esto o no) salu2 y ya nos contarás

Los semprons son micros nuevos y por eso no te lo reconoce. Te lo coge como un 2200 porque tiene la misma velocidad.
La diferencia de fsb es porque los sempron llevan multiplicadores más bajos, por eso teniendo un fsb más alto van a la misma velocidad.
Como dice cobac descarga el cpu-z y verás como te lo reconoce como un sempron.

hola como les va, bueno aca les mando los datos que me dio CPU-Z les cuento que las memoria son de 400mhz segun me dijo el vendedor (ya no se que pensar) pero me larga PC3200 200Mhz ¿estoy mal?, Iba a porner solo los primeros datos, pero se los mando completo. Disculpen

les cuento que las memoria son de 400mhz segun me dijo el vendedor (ya no se que pensar) pero me larga PC3200 200Mhz es memoria ddr, es decir en un ciclo hace dos operaciones, de ahi que ponga 200 pero en realidad sera 400  (osea es todo correcto) y el micro que tienes es un sempron, por los datos que te he dado yo. Quedate tranquilo, ademas lo del detalle de "PC 3200" te esta diciendo que el ancho de banda es de 3200 mb/s, que ese es la cifra de ancho de banda teorico de las memorias de 400 Mhz.
